Greetings from my website, sweet people!

I'm Sandra Dee, and I'm living life to the fullest, well into my forties, or, let's be honest, the other side of forty! I'm here to tell you all about my journey.

Above all, I'm a proud mother of a teenager who is ready to leave the nest and go to college. My amazing husband and I have been blissfully married for 22 years, and he is traveling with me on this adventure. Our elderly dog, Dexter, who we rescued a few years ago, completes our tiny family. He is my cherished furry child.

I worked for 22 years as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor in a past life. I love working out, and I have a particular place in my heart for my Peloton bike. My fitness journey may be followed on Instagram at @sandra_dee_is_me. I'm presently training for a 10K race and have a half marathon and full marathon in the works for the upcoming year. Indeed, everything is done alone with my reliable Peloton equipment.

Aside from working hard, I'm an avid do-it-yourself enthusiast. Over the past ten years, my spouse and I have devoted our souls to remodeling our present residence. We've installed hardwood floors, tiling, and drywall, taking pride in the fact that we completed the task all by ourselves after learning the necessary skills from YouTube videos.

Another one of my superpowers is thrift. Finding the best prices is something I'm passionate about, whether it's shopping for groceries at a discount or finding vintage gems. I'll be offering my strategies and advice to help you locate amazing discounts on almost everything.

Here's where my story gets interesting: I was a marketing executive at a big retailer for more than 20 years. But in 2023, I had to deal with a big life upheaval after being fired without warning. This journey has been an emotional rollercoaster, filled with both self-doubt and humble moments. However, I have a gut feeling that this new path is exactly where I'm supposed to be.

I searched the job market for a new opportunity at first, but the idea of going back to the emotionally taxing corporate world made me sick to my stomach. I could take no more of the never-ending commute, office politics, passivity-aggression dynamics, or the unrelenting grind. The rejection letters began to come in after more than 200 resumes and thoughtfully worded cover letters were distributed. I started to wonder if that was truly my place.

Thus, here I am, an ambitious business owner with a two-year goal to become financially independent. I'll be updating everyone on my progress and outlining my plan of attack. In addition, I think that if you're reading this, there's a part of you that wishes there was more to life. Now let's get this journey started.
